Claire Arnold
Claire has spent her career focusing on organisational and leadership performance, working with CEOs and their teams to define strategic priorities and develop the right leadership and organisational structure to deliver them. She believes that organisations can be designed but they
come to life through the people that work in them and the processes they rely on.
Claire began her professional life in commercial management with M&S, where she ran staff training, established and grew the retailer’s market research function through a difficult commercial period and led the transition of the European business to a franchise model. Claire was
also the founder director of The Whitehall and Industry Group, a cross-sector leadership development organisation which still thrives today.
Claire’s consulting career started at A T Kearney, firstly transforming their search business in London and then as Managing Director of the Human Capital Practice responsible for clients worldwide and a Global team.
Claire co-founded Maxxim Consulting, the expert organisation strategy and development practice known in particular for its work on the role of the corporate centre. Whilst leading and growing the business, Claire ran a number of high-profile transformation projects covering re-structures, growth, mergers and privatisation. Maxxim merged with Q5 in 2016 with Claire appointed as Chairman with particular accountability for international growth, developing the operating model and growing a public sector practice.
Claire is now a certified executive coach and divides her time between coaching the leaders of today and tomorrow, acting as an advisor to business leaders, writing and research. Claire has always been fascinated in unpicking the bigger picture, in trying to get to the heart of the broader narrative, hidden symbols and culture that make up the structures of meaning and then doing something with it.
