
Erica Handling
Erica is a senior executive coach and non-executive director with over 30 years of experience of working in the City of London as a law firm partner and founding partner of the securities and structured practice at Ashurst.
Erica has considerable commercial experience, having been the European General Counsel at Barclays Investment Bank and, most recently, at BlackRock. During this time, she worked at the senior executive level, managing large, complex and internationally dispersed teams. She gained valuable experience in building and developing businesses, restructuring groups and supporting the development of many colleagues.
Her work as a coach focuses on supporting leaders in the corporate sector, as well as the public and charitable sectors. She supports leaders in recognising and reaching their full potential, driving performance and achieving specific goals, whilst living a fulfilled existence.
Throughout her career Erica has had a particular focus and passion on diversity, leading and supporting many diversity projects, committees and networks.
She combines her role as an executive coach with being a non-executive director on the Boards of the UK Government Legal Department and Petershill Partners plc (a listed company investing in private equity partnerships, managed by Goldman Sachs) and a trustee and chair of charities with a focus on women and/or criminal justice.
