James is a highly experienced psychologist who specialises in leadership assessment. He joined Pelham Street from Russell Reynolds Associates in London, where he built and developed his leadership assessment and consulting capabilities over nearly 5 years.
Prior to Russell Reynolds, James spent six years with a boutique search firm as a consultant. There, he advised organisations on senior talent strategies including; succession, selection, development and organisational design.
James is one of the most experienced occupational psychologists and leadership assessment specialists in his field. He is an expert in succession and has a passion for supporting leaders and their organisations. James works with both individuals and teams, including board assignments, resulting in recommendations for executive coaching, executive selection and executive developmental planning.
He has consulted across a multitude of sectors both Public and Private, including the Civil Service, the British Army and many of the world’s largest Financial, Consumer, Technology and Industrial firms. James also works with and supports private equity firms and venture capital initiatives, as part of wider due diligence and performance agenda. In 2006 he became an affiliate member of the British Psychological Society in recognition for his application of psychology to Business
