Shaun Pendry
Leadership has been at the heart of Shaun’s 30-year career. He has considerable experience of working with senior leaders and has coached global leaders over the last 12 years. He is used to working in complex and challenging environments which require agility, sensitivity and a sense of purpose.
After university Shaun began his career as a British Army Officer. He spent 17 years in a variety of military leadership roles across the world; working with civil servants, diplomats and national and international agencies. These practical leadership roles provided him with a wealth of experience in challenging environments, requiring and developing a full range of skills including communication, influencing, planning, conflict resolution and people development.
After the army Shaun spent 7 years with PwC, translating his leadership experience into the commercial world. He focused his work on leadership development, executive coaching and supporting leaders in creating the conditions for success. Having worked with a range of global leaders and businesses Shaun has witnessed the challenges that leaders face, no matter what organisational or geographical cultures they operate in.
In 2014 Shaun moved to the William J Clinton Leadership Institute. This allowed him to hone his 30 years of leadership experience and coaching skills. He has worked across the full spectrum of sectors, coaching senior leaders and leadership teams and has recently started to use resilience coaching as part of his work. In 2018 Shaun left the Leadership Institute and continues his coaching journey with Pelham Street.
